Julia loves to travel, explore and shock. While on the road she lives in the moment, soaking up every second with intense (and often highly intoxicated) passion.
Kangaroos and Chaos is the ‘tell all’ true story of the year she spent backpacking around Australia. It’s a very honest and personal account of her travels with all the debauchery left in (she is still coming to terms with the fact that her Grandmother has read every detail).
Julia hopes that Kangaroos and Chaos will inspire budding backpackers, take ex-travellers on a trip down memory lane and entertain anyone who enjoys a giggle and a gasp as they read.
For Julia, the pleasure of writing a book comes from contact with her readers. Feedback, comments and random thoughts from across the world put an instant smile into her day. She encourages you to say hello, share an opinion/ story, leave a review and browse through the pictures from her trip and chaotic life in general. She tries to respond to them all personally.
Julia left the UK at the tender age of 17. She then spent many years living in Spain and it’s various islands in-between backpacking and exploring the world as much as her bank account would allow. In 2009, aged 27 she began her Australian adventure with absolutely no idea it would lead to such a life changing transformation, let alone the publication of her first book. She still resides in Sydney and continues to follow her passion for the environment and life in general
